Rent 4 bedroom apartment in Arlington

Bright bedroom available for rent in a four-bedroom apartment, with a homey living room, dining room, kitchen, two full bathrooms, in unit laundry, and a back enclosed porch (my favorite spot!). Our apartment includes the second and third floors of a three-floor 2 family house; the room available is on the second floor. Some room furnishings may be available if requested.Our street is right off of Massachusetts Avenue, but the house is far enough down the street that we don't get much noise, so it's both convenient (the 77 bus is a 4-minute walk) and quiet! The neighborhood of Capitol Square is fantastic, with everything you could need: Barimso coffee shop, Scoop and Scootery ice-cream, Za’s Pizza, Maria’s Pizza (a hole in the wall, but noted to be some of the best pizza around), the charming Arlington Restaurant and Diner, Menotomy Bar and Grill, Zhu Pan-Asian Vegan Restaurant (one of our favs), a little park for stretching your legs. There’s also a quirky and fun thrift shop called Buzzy’s Bazaar just around the corner — an adventure for sure. We are near Spy Pond, the beautiful Arlington library, the Minuteman Bikeway; a CVS and Stop n' Shop are a 10-minute walk away, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are a 10-minute bike ride away, Alewife is a 10-minute bus ride away, buses to Harvard Square and Davis Square are regular and a 5-minute walk from our house. (Though our address is officially in Arlington, we are just over the Cambridge/Arlington line, a 20-minute bus ride to Harvard Square.) There is no off street parking currently available. The town of Arlington officially does not allow overnight parking on the street. However, one of our current housemates has parked on the street each night for over a year and has not gotten a ticket. The town is in the process of considering whether to allow overnight parking at an official level.We are a freelance musician (who works and teaches from home so there is singing during the day), a graphic designer, a geologist and two very friendly kitties. We are looking for:- professionals in their 30’s or 40's, or graduate students. preferably with a 9-5pm type schedule- respectful, clean, self-aware, loves cats! — no cigarette smoking, no drugs, no big parties. Must be willing to participate in sustainable living habits (i. e. composting, recycling, keeping the heat on the low side). - willing to do his or her part in house chores We require first and last month's rent plus a $500 deposit to be returned upon leaving the room in the condition it was in at move in date.
