Mouro Island is a small rocky islet located at the entrance to the Bay of Santander, in Cantabria, visible from Somo beach. With an area of 1.7 hectares, it stands out for its steep cliffs and its lighthouse, built in 1860, which guides ships through the turbulent waters of the area. This 18-metre-high lighthouse is one of the main icons of the island, although access to it is restricted.
