Rent a room in Los Angeles

This hilltop 1200 sq. ft. chalet with wooden beam ceilings has 180 degrees scenic views and is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, on a dead-end street. There are many windows all around which give it a lot of light and permit air circulation throughout.The room for rent is 132 sq ft. It's furnished, with a comfortable queen bed, a large desk and a smaller one, book shelves, a chest of drawers and a good-sized hanging closet. The full bathroom--with shower--is shared with one other tenant (a really nice young lady.)The tenants have full access to the kitchen and the dining/living room area. There's a large patio, a gazebo area with benches under big trees (with a nice breeze to read and cool off on warm days.) There are three parking spaces up the driveway, plus free street parking if needed.I’m the owner of the house and have my own, separate room and bathroom. I take care of the maintenance of the house so it stays clean and tidy, but I expect the tenants to clean up after themselves in the common areas as well as in their bathroom. I provide all needed linens (sheets, towels, blankets, etc.)I respect my guests’ privacy, but I’m happy to have a chat at any time!Amenities: WiFi, TV, washer/dryer in the kitchen area, dishwasher, all kitchen appliances, kitchenware and utensils, central HVAC + space heaters and fans in rooms, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguishers.The neighborhood is quite rural. There are parks with dirt paths nearby to walk or run. Downtown Los Angeles is 15 minutes away by car, with many places of interest. So are Highland Park, 5 minutes away, and Old Town Pasadena, 15 minutes away, with plenty of cafés and restaurants. Whole Foods and two Trader Joe's within 10/15 minutes.Available on December 23, 2024. This is for a short-term stay, until the end of May, 2025.Rent: $1,500/month, all utilities and WiFi included.
