Rent 3 bedroom house in Mount Vernon

Hi friends! Check out this great place to live! You'll be renting a room that's 10x10, not including the closet that's the full length of one of the walls. The room is yours to decorate how you want! Feel free to paint, hang artwork, whatever makes your heart happy! The current roommate has it partially painted and if you'd like us to give it a fresh coat of white paint before you move in we can do that for you. Because the room is on the smaller side, I don't mind you using hallway space for storage, as long as it's in a cabinet/dresser where stuff isn't exposed. You would be sharing a bathroom with the tenants in the other room and they work evenings/nights, meaning they shower around 11pm and 1am on the days they work. Ok, about the house. It's approximately 1750sqft with a huge yard, ample parking, 2 car garage, bonfire pit in the back with entertaining space, and I've got a separate 10x12 storage shed if you've got a lot of stuff! Because I know the room is on the smaller side, I've made sure we've got LOTS of storage space in the garage and in the shed! Everything is furnished except for your bedroom. In the kitchen we've got a nice gas range, and lots of cabinetry, plus a separate pantry where you'd have a full 5ft long shelf to yourself. We also have 2 fridges, one in the kitchen and one in the garage so no need to worry about running out of fridge/freezer space. Our washer and dryer are upstairs by the bedrooms which makes it super convenient when doing laundry. Another thing I love about this house is that I've set up multiple living spaces. We have a closed floor plan, so the kitchen and dining room are separate from the living room, and then upstairs we have a bonus room with a big comfy couch that folds out to a queen size bed if needed for occasional guests. Our living room downstairs has a fire place which gives a cozy vibe in the winter months. In the warmer months, the backyard has multiple seating areas and is fun to hang in when I've got the kiddie pool up! So, if you ever want to chill by yourself in a place other than your bedroom, there are ample options :) Also, in the backyard we have a huge pear tree that has amazing fruit every year and I'm growing 2 apple trees with the hope of fruit in a few years! If you have a green thumb and like gardening, there's tons of room for you to set up anything you'd like to plant or grow! I should also mention my "unique" decorating style in the house. I'm a big fan of skulls, gothic style, witchy stuff, taxidermy, and other spooky stuff. I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea, so I'm throwing it out there! Also, Halloween is a HUGE thing for me, I've got tons of decorations and even the Home Depot 12ft skeleton! I go all out every year with decorating the front yard, I also decorate for December holiday stuff too! We've got great neighbors and a quiet, safe neighborhood. It's been a joy to live here over the past 4 years! We're across the street from Hillcrest Park and a short drive from downtown Mount Vernon, grocery stores, doctors offices, and other amenities. If you're into hiking, Little Mountain is a few minutes away and we're pretty centrally located in Mount Vernon. Such a nice place to be!Currently there are 4 of us living here, but one of us might be moving out soon so I wanted to put some feelers out there for potential roommates. When you move in, you'd be living with me, the home owner (37yo F), my brother (33yo M) and his fiance (28yo F). I'm sober, and my brother and fiance rarely drink, we also don't smoke pot or do other drugs. We have occasional social gatherings but no one is intoxicated. Also living with us are my sweet and sometimes grouchy greyhound Jellybean (12yo F), my ball python, axolotl, and crested gecko. If Jellybean wasn't such a grouch around other dogs/cats, I would be totally open to you bringing your cat/dog but for now, we need a single free range animal household. My brother is a welder, has ADHD, and is on the autism spectrum. He's into EDM music, cars (he just bought a mustang), gaming, and paddle boarding. He's got a "punny" sense of humor (insert eye rolls here) and is an all around sweet guy. His fiance works at Walmart and is also nerodivergent. She's quiet, shy, and sometimes socially anxious. She likes art and reading and is a very kind person. As for me, I'm a licensed mental health counselor and the clinical supervisor for the mental health program at Sea Mar Behavioral Health here in Mount Vernon. I've had my fair share of mental health struggles and became a therapist to help others the way my therapists helped me over the years. I consider my mental health recovery to be one of my biggest accomplishments! I'm an open communicator and do my best to be open minded when conflict occurs. I love Halloween, spooky stuff, true crime, reptiles, dogs, urban exploring, decorating my home, heavy metal & alternative rock music, and socializing. I injured myself earlier this year and have been on a long road to recovery, so my mobility has been limited recently. I have a very close relationship with my parents who live in Belligham and they come over regularly, usually at least once a month. Family is important to me, and the roommate that might be leaving has become family. If you're interested in that someday, that be awesome! But if you'd rather rent a room and keep your distance, I absolutely respect that too! What I'm looking for in a roommate:-A team player. Chip in with chores around the house. Clean up after yourself. Be respectful of shared spaces. We currently alternate between household chores, every weekend someone is the chore person, but it is still polite to clean up after yourself. In the spring, we alternate between mowing the lawn. (If you aren't able bodied and can't mow the lawn, let's discuss)-A good communicator. If something isn't working well for you, let me know! I can't read minds and do my best to be reasonable. We will have occasional house meetings if things aren't going well to make sure we're all on the same page and no one's feelings are hurt.-Someone who doesn't drink regularly. Occasional drinks are fine, but I can't be around someone who's getting drunk in my home.-A non smoker. My brother and I used to smoke and it took us a lot to quit. My brother still vapes, but I don't smoke anything at all. Living with a smoker would be way too tempting for me.-Preferably a non pot smoker. My brother used to have a problem with pot. If he doesn't smell it, I think that'd be fine, we'd need to discuss it more. Alright here's a LOT of info, I hope it's not too overwhelming!
