Request for references. For info: F.Mirco Dormelletto (Dromlèt in Piedmontese, Drumlèt in Lombard) is an Italian town of 2,568 inhabitants in the province of Novara in Piedmont. The town and its historic locality "Dormello " are historically famous, especially in the world of horse racing, for the breeding of race horses (Dormello - Olgiata breed) to which famous horses such as Nearco, Bellini, Donatello II and the famous "Horse of the century" Ribot belonged[4] [5]. For several years, especially since the 1930s, Dormelletto and Dormello have been considered the center of world horseracing: thanks also to the work begun by Federico Tesio, 80% of the galloping horses in the world come from these lands[6 ]. In addition to the Dormelletto Canneti Special Nature Reserve, there is a part of the Mercurago Lakes Natural Park, one of the prehistoric pile-dwelling sites around the Alps, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2011[ 7].
