Rent a room in San Diego

We are looking for a non-smoker to rent one large bedroom in our 4-bedroom house (furnished OR unfurnished, your choice). The room will be available on December 1st. Although the lease is month to month, we prefer someone who plans on staying at least a year. We are in a safe, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Mission Trails Regional Park, 4 miles to SDSU, and 15 miles to the coast. There is no public transportation close by. The rent is $975 per month, utilities included. The security deposit is $400, and there is a $40 background check fee, if we progress to that stage. The house has WiFi, central air-conditioning, a washer/dryer, and a monthly housecleaner. Your fairly large bedroom has a large closet. You will share a large bathroom with one other renter. It has 2 sinks, a bathtub, and a shower. There is also a shared den next to your room with a mini fridge, microwave, table, and chairs. Our other tenant is a quiet, respectful guy who is gone on weekends. You and he will share a full-size refrigerator in the garage, and have your own pantry space in the kitchen. We prefer tenants spend minimal time in the kitchen. The tenant who is moving out has been with us for 5 years. He is moving out of state. We will be painting the room and cleaning the carpet.
