Butterfly Cottage is a 200 year old oak beamed house in a quiet cul-de-sac. With a garden and terrace, patchwork quilts and period furniture it is ideal for a cosy getaway for up to 7 people.The cottage is near canals and greenery and opposite a golf course. Right outside there are bus links and it is only 10 minutes walk from the vibrant village centre of Knowle and 5mins drive from 3 train stations.It's a really old house (in fact it's older than local records so we don't know how old it is, but it's at least 200 years old!). There are oak beams that you might hit your head on if you’re over 6”3’, there's a steep original staircase, and the floorboards creak a bit. If you want a travel-lodge style place where everything is new, perfect and impersonal, this totally isn't the place for you. All rooms are of course clean and tidy and there are modern utilities, kitchen appliances and heating but it's an old, wonky and imperfect house! However, that is also what makes it romantic, homely and cosy.
