Beautiful apartment with grand piano – a home with character in central Budapest This bright high-ceiling apartment was built in the early 1910s and was previously used as an atelier of musicians and painters. It was originally our own home, not an investment property. Keeping some original features, we renovated and furnished it ourselves, aiming to create a space that feels calm, livable, and quietly inspiring over longer stays. Filled with natural light, indoor plants, and a mix of original contemporary artworks. An antique functioning grand piano is also part of the living space, adding both character and a sense of history. Sometimes, you may even hear classical music drifting over from the neighbouring Liszt Museum, which gives the whole space a unique feel if you enjoy music and culture. There is a spacious living room with a double bed, a separate kitchen, a bathroom with bathtub, a smaller laundry room, and an additional room that we used as a studio/guest room, which is especially practical for remote work or longer stays. The location is one of its biggest strengths. Just a few steps off the spectacular Andrassy World Heritage Site and the Millennial Railway station, it's neighbouring the Liszt Museum and is next to the Academy of Fine Arts and the National Puppet Theatre. Hunyadi park is just across the street, the local Market Hall and farmers market only 100 meters away. Surrounded by cafes, groceries, restaurants, galleries, boutique shops, 24/7 public transport, all within minutes walk so day-to-day life is comfortable and easy, while the apartment itself remains quiet and peaceful.
