Do you need a comfy place in Ramsgate that's well connected to transport services and town centre? An excellent bedroom is available to let for £450 per calendar month in designer's spacious Victorian property. It is a very comfortable furnished room with wardrobe, drawers, desk and chair and storage space. It is for a single person but has a comfy small double bed and is very homey! There is a CAT5 connection to the internet router in the room and a fibre connection. The house is on Ramsgate's rather charming West Cliff, near to the town centre and only a 5 minute walk to the coast and sandy beaches. The house is on the Loop bus route to Broadstairs and Margate and near to the service to Sandwich. It is also a short 12 minute walk, or even shorter bus ride, to Ramsgate train station. It is fully furnished, double glazed, and there are all facilities in the house such as dishwasher, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen and wireless/wired broadband. There is a huge fridge and a separate freezer with your own shelf and you will have your own food cupboard so plenty of storage space for you in the kitchen. There is a shower/WC room, plus bathroom, plus separate WC for the household, so lots of choice. The rent includes all bills, basics such as loo roll and washing up liquid but you would need to help to keep the place tidy and clean up after you, of course, like a proper grown up. I am not volunteering to be anyone's mum. The spacious kitchen/dining/living room is designed to be sociable and you would be sharing with me, live in landlady, and my partner who works in the creative sector, so there is room to chat over a cuppa and have your own space too. I work from home so am looking for someone who is out during office hours Monday to Friday and not working from home. The house is well organised and really feels like a place to relax. Things to think about: Re transport, the house is on the local Loop bus service which takes you to main destinations in Thanet. It is also a 5 minute bus ride or 12 minute walk to Ramsgate train station which is on the fast link to St Pancras in London. Discovery Park science business park in Sandwich is on a scenic cycle route from the West Cliff in Ramsgate. The Dover cross channel ferries are a 30 minute drive away and you can be in the A299 road to London in 10 minutes from Ramsgate. The town centre and various shops (from Waitrose to Aldi) are a 5 minute walk from the house, as is the Western Undercliff beach, home to regular sea swimmers. If you need more mainstream shopping, the Loop bus will take you to Westwood shopping centre, where there are huge supermarkets and the usual chain shops. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the town centre and the historic harbour is home to a busy boating community. There is a long grassy esplanade on the cliff top across the West Cliff with views across the Channel and yes, on a clear day, you can see France! Ellington Park, a recently restored Victorian park with a lovely bandstand, is a 10 minute walk away. There is also a huge sandy pleasure beach and Broadstairs is a low tide, beach stroll away. The buildings in Ramsgate are amazing with some glorious examples of Georgian architecture that look like a film set!
