Location The district takes its name from the famous Schloss Nymphenburg, the summer residence of the House of Wittelsbach. One of the most beautiful residential areas of the city is located around the castle with its green area, which was created in the style of the castle park of Versailles. Villas and one- to two-storey houses characterize the image of this district. Even away from the castle park, in Gern and Neuhausen, green spaces and listed old buildings dominate. Here you will find many smaller pubs that welcome you to spend some time. Finally, to the south you will also find the Hirschgarten, Munich's largest beer garden, which attracts many visitors, especially in summer. Only a few minutes walk from the apartment is the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden, with an area of 21.20 hectares and over visitors a year, is one of the most important botanical gardens in the world.
