As this is considered a boarding situation, the weekly rent includes power, gas, internet, water, lawns mowed and gardens done. It's a very low-maintenance situation for someone. This is the original 1930s cottage on our Taupaki property, which we have renovated. Our previous tenant lived here for three years and, due to unforeseen circumstances has had to leave, so we are looking for a new wonderful tenant. The cottage has a bedroom with an ensuite, a separate living area and kitchenette, its own off-road car park and entrance, and a storage shed with a washing machine. There is also access to our deep freeze. The cottage shares a rural property with our family house (we have 2 young children), but is private with windows facing away from our house and its own secluded front yard, which includes an enormous Rhododendron tree with hot pink flowers in early Spring - gorgeous! We like to be on good terms with the tenant of the cottage, but also like to keep our privacy too. We are looking for someone who is ideally a single person or a couple with one car. We would ideally love someone private, independent, quiet and tidy. The renovation of the cottage included a new roof; insulation in roof, underfloor and walls (it is very cosy and warm!!); an ensuite which includes a lovely shower with gas hot water; a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and bench-top cooker with hobbs; a Toshiba heat pump; ventilation in kitchen and bathroom, new blackout/thermal curtains in lounge and bedroom and a wooden blind in the kitchen; complete rewiring of all electrics; capabilities for Freeview TV arial; Google broadband expander to share our unlimited internet.
