Our interesting studio apartment will be available to rent after 12 June. It is situated over our garage, which is attached to the main house on our property. The main house is a semi-historic 1910 villa, but the apartment was built in 2018. While I describe it as a studio, it has a small separate bedroom. This fits a queen sized bed, and has a deep floor to ceiling built in shelf, but won’t take a great deal of other furniture. The main room is very large and has an attached toilet and sink. It also has a kitchenette, which has a two burner induction hob, a fridge/freezer, a small dishwasher and a bench with a sink and cupboards. It is a lovely space with views over the harbour. The floors are wooden, although the bedroom has carpet, and the shower is tiled with underfloor heating. There is a heated towel rail in the shower room. Currently supplied in the main room are a small couch, a glass tv stand, a pop-up table with stools, and a single bed. We do have other additional furniture, but no larger bed. This furniture can be removed if you don't want it. A shower for the studio is on a small room off the landing on the stairs to the studio, only used by the occupant of the studio. Some minor appliances and crockery/cutlery may also be supplied. Laundry facilities are shared with the main house. As the studio is a new build, it is double glazed and fully insulated. It has smart radiators and a ceiling fan. The studio would probably suit a single person best, although a couple could work. The property is semi-rural, but only 5 minutes from Onerahi shops. There is no designated outdoor area for the studio, but the property is large and there are many private, albeit shared, outdoor spaces. The rent includes power, water and fibre internet. The main house is being renovated, so there can be noise from this during work hours. Otherwise it is a quiet household. Unfortunately, no pets are permitted as a general rule as there are already two dogs, two cats, and twelve chickens, none of whom are particularly relaxed. Please feel free to ask any questions. Also sorry the photos are a bit weird, some of the spaces are difficult to photograph and also I didn't want to disturb the current tenant, so some are from when the space was being finished during construction. Four of us live in the main house, three adults and a six-year-old. We are quiet and not nosy. We work from home so are usually in. Our two large dogs and one of the cats also live with us. We spend most of our leisure time working on the house. There is also a separate cottage on the property with one adult and our other cat.
