1 room studio of 46m² in London

Hello, welcome to our lovely home :) ! We are Charlotte and Adam and we lived in our cute, cozy studio for 5 years before moving to the Middle East. We grew up in the countryside just outside of London and the studio reflects this; it’s kind of got a ‘country cottage in the city’ vibe, it’s very homely! Despite being small, the studio has all of the appliances you might need; an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a ‘hot tap’ for boiling or filtered water. The murphy bed, cleverly transforms the studio from a bedroom into a living room in 5 seconds. The flat is located on the second floor of a beautiful old period building that we think may once have been part of the Chelsea Barracks. We have a communal courtyard with trees, flowers and seating, which is great on a sunny day if you want to chill or eat outside. It is a gated community within a really safe area, so it feels really secure. We regularly leave our front door open when we are home. The building is set within the Grosvenor Waterside development, which is very smart with its own water canal. We are very lucky in that there are so many wonderful places to visit and eat right on our doorstep... Gym/Spa: We are members of the Grosvenor Waterside Gym and Spa, which is about 1 minute walk away, so convenient! The sauna and steam room are a lovely treat on a cold rainy day. We have found the gym to be a great place to meet people from the community. We would definitely recommend joining! Restaurants: The Locals Cafe, which is directly opposite our place, is really cute and it does such yummy food! The Orange, Number 11 and Daylesford are just a few of the incredible restaurants in Pimlico Square, which is about 5 mins walk away. We could go on and on, so let us know if you would like any recommendations! Markets: On Saturday mornings there is a lovely little farmers market in Pimlico Square (about 5 mins walk away) where you can buy fresh vegetables, bread and flowers etc. There is also a larger street food market in Duke of York Square (about 10 mins walk away) on Saturdays, where you can buy street food from all over the world! Supermarkets: There is a little Sainsburys local literally opposite the entrance to our building, super useful! There is also a large Waitrose on the Kings Road. If you are into reducing your plastic waste to help the environment, there is a lovely bulk store close by in Battersea. Nature and Green Spaces: It takes 2 mins to walk to the River Thames, where you can then wonder down the embankment. Battersea park (and the new buzzy Circus development) is about 10 mins walk away. The beautiful grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea are 5 mins walk away. They host the Chelsea Flower Show at the Royal Hospital once a year, which is definitely worth visiting! Public Transport: It’s super easy to travel around London from our place. Sloane Square Station (circle and district line) and Victoria Station (Victoria line, circle and district line) are both 10 minutes walk away. The bus stop is about 2 mins walk away. The Gatwick Express takes 30 mins to get to the airport from Victoria Station, so very convenient for travelling abroad! Cycling: If you like cycling, you can leave your bike securely in the courtyard. Parking: You can park a motorbike or scooter for free within the complex. There is on-street parking for cars available - You will need to purchase a residence parking permit from the City of Westminster. The practical stuff… We are offering the flat fully furnished; we have carefully chosen our furniture so that it is beautiful but also practical. All bills are included (with a standard fair-use policy on electricity). We have a strict no smoking policy. Our neighbours are all really lovely and we respect each other. We would ask that you do the same and not make too much noise or play music too late at night. We feel that the studio is perfect for a professional couple or single person. We are looking for the ‘right’ person or people. We would really like to find someone who loves our home as much as we do, someone who wants a home and not just any old rental flat. We are growing flowers in pots on the balcony so we would ideally, in a perfect world, like someone who loves flowers and can keep them alive for us.
