The flat bell is on a modern keypad on the right hand side of the front door. On the rare occasion that we're absent or your arrival is very late there is a code to access the building and a lock box in the communal hallway for the key to the door of the flat which I will provide the code for ahead of time if this is the case. I will also provide you with my mobile number just in case of an emergency. The room is directly on the right as you come through the front door so you won't need to venture through the rest of the flat to find where you're staying. There are three steps up to the front door of the building and that's it which is great news if you're carrying heavy suitcases or you have a lot of bags.Upon leaving you can hand the key back to us or leave it on the bed if we're not around or you have an early start. Just leave the room exactly as it is. No need to strip the bed or put the rubbish out. We'll do all of that after you've left. If you're here for a longer stay we can discuss the interim measures during your stay. I will not access your room without your permission during your stay. The room has a lock and a key.Interaction with Guestsnow work from home, having moved my vintage furniture business entirely online. This has provided a little more flexibility and has also made it possible to offer our spare room to guests because I am around and not having to manage a shop. The flat's layout works well for this arrangement. The living room is situated on the ground floor and tends to be used only occasionally — usually for watching television, reading, or the odd visit from friends — so there’s plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. My bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen/dining area and access to the garden are all through the basement.Although the booking is officially for the room itself, I’d like you to feel as much at home here as possible. If you’d like to use the kitchen and it isn’t in use, please just ask — it will generally be no problem at all.Similarly, if London is part of a longer journey and you need to freshen up a few clothes before continuing your travels, you’re very welcome to ask about using the washer-dryer.And if there’s something missing from the room that I’ve overlooked, or something you find you need during your stay, please do mention it. Most things are easily sourced and it’s always better to ask because everything is usually resolvable.I also frequent the local bars, restaurants, pubs, shops, museums and parks having lived in London for over 35 years. I therefore know it well. Please feel free to ask for any recommendations. The kitchen and access to the garden is through the doors in the basement below. Guests are welcome to utilise the corner sofa sitting area in the garden, weather permitting, which is perfectly placed in the sun or shade for reading, sunbathing or having a drink.Other things to noteA large and recently renovated flat situated on the ground and basement floors of a three storey double fronted building situated 150 metres from Salusbury Road which is Queen's Parks' high street. The ground floor living room and basement kitchen both have sound and fireproof double metal and glass doors for added noise reduction and security. There are no permanent pets at the property but we're quite often looking after friend's dogs when they're on holiday. Please ask if you have a problem or are allergic to dogs whether this is the case when you make your reservation. We will tell you too just in case it's an issue. If you'd like to bring your pets please ask in advance. This is our home, like any other, and is used as such. We may have a dinner party for example on a Saturday night during your stay but the double doors help to alleviate any noise and we will be cognisant that we have guests.
