We (a couple, 37 and 40) are looking for a flatmate for our 4.5-room apartment in Käferberg. Until now, a friend of ours has been living here part-time in our guest room, but from September he'll be moving on with his family (they recently had triplets), so we're looking for someone to take over the space on a part-time basis. To be upfront, we're quiet and fairly busy people and aren't looking for a classic, social flatshare, but rather someone who uses the room part-time and otherwise enjoys their own space. That way it works best for everyone. A bit about the place: it's a super modern, open-plan apartment built in 2020, with three balconies and lots of light. There's a washing machine and dryer in our own little in-flat laundry, and the (coop) supermarket + cafe etc. is a 2-3 minute walk away. We also have a Denner 5 minutes walk down the street. The living room looks straight out onto the forest, and you have direct access to the Käferberg and its lovely walking trails right from the door. There's also a running track in the forest about 5 minutes away, with night lighting and a soft, low-impact surface. The room is 15 m² and partly furnished. At the moment there's a single bed in there that extends into a double. For longer stays (from around 6 months), you're welcome to change the furnishing to your preferences, and we'll move certain things out as needed; for shorter stays the room stays more or less as it is (we can swap out the bed, for example, but the rest stays). We'd prefer to leave the built-in cupboards on each side of the room in place, as they're attached to the walls. The price depends on how often you're here and always includes all utilities (WiFi, electricity, heating, fortnightly cleaning etc.): * Around half the time (~2 weeks a month), our ideal: approx. CHF 1'100 a month* Up to around 2.5 weeks a month: approx. CHF 1'350 a month* Full-time use: approx. CHF 2'300 a month (exceptions only and short-term; not our ideal for longer-term usage)It's ideal for someone who's only in Zürich part-time, for example a few days a week or just two weeks a month, and who's looking for a quiet, friendly place to stay. When you're here, you'd have your own bathroom with shower/toilet right next to your room for your private use, so essentially your own private corner of the apartment. Your room and bathroom are near the entrance, set slightly apart from the rest of the flat, so you have your own area and won't be disturbed there. It also comes with a private 5 m² balcony that gets the morning sun, all to yourself, ideal for morning yoga for instance. You're welcome to keep your mat out there and set it up however you like. You can access it directly from your room as well as from the living room, though we normally keep the living-room access closed. We mainly use the other, main balcony ourselves, which gets the evening sun. Our cleaner comes twice a month for three hours and, depending on use, will clean your room as well. We also just bought a Midea Split AC, so the place will be cooled in the summers from now on. About us: We're quiet, hardworking people. On the introverted side but friendly and easy-going. We're into hiking, scenic bike rides, travel and tech. Robert: IT Engineer (40-something) Lisa: Startup Founder (Late thirties) We both work remotely from home. Robert has his own office, and depending on how the guest room is being used, I work either in the kitchen-diner or in the guest room. We also have three large Maine Coons who roam freely around the flat, so you'll need to be an animal lover. They generally like having access to the whole place, but if you're not comfortable with that, we can keep them out of your room. The most we'd expect the room to be used is probably around 2.5 weeks a month, but we're happy to work that out with the right person. We're looking for someone for 6 to 12 months initially, with the option to extend. That said, a shorter stay works too, for example if you're looking for a longer-term apartment and need somewhere to bridge the gap. In that case you're welcome to use the room full-time (approx. CHF 1'800 a month), for up to around two months. We're a non-smoking household and would like the same from you. Who we have in mind: You're friendly, quiet and tidy, maybe more on the introverted side, and not looking for a big flatshare "family." You appreciate your own space, but don't mind the occasional chat or cooking together. Ultimately, you just want a room where you can have your peace when you need it, feel settled, and no one gives you any hassle. We're mainly looking for a part-time resident / Wochenaufenthalter: if you'd like to register here, you'd just need to be around about half the time. Deutsch Hoi zäme Wir (Paar, 37 und 40) suchen eine:n WG-Mitbewohner:in für unsere 4.5-Zimmer-Wohnung im Käferberg. Bis jetzt wohnt ein Freund von uns Teilzeit in unserem Gästezimmer, aber ab September zieht er mit seiner Familie weiter (sie haben kürzlich Drillinge bekommen), und wir suchen jemanden, der seinen Platz auf Teilzeitbasis übernehmen möchte. Ehrlich gesagt sind wir eher ruhige und ziemlich beschäftigte Menschen und suchen keine klassische, gesellige WG, sondern jemanden, der das Zimmer Teilzeit nutzt und ansonsten gern seine Ruhe hat. So passt es für alle am besten. Kurz zur Wohnung: Sie ist super modern, offen gestaltet und wurde 2020 gebaut, mit drei Balkonen und viel Licht. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und einen Tumbler in unserer eigenen kleinen Waschküche in der Wohnung, und der Supermarkt ist nur 2 Gehminuten entfernt. Vom Wohnzimmer blickt man direkt auf den Wald, und du hast von der Haustür aus direkten Zugang zum Käferberg und seinen schönen Wanderwegen. Rund 5 Gehminuten entfernt im Wald gibt es zudem eine Laufbahn mit Nachtbeleuchtung und weichem, gelenkschonendem Belag. Das Zimmer ist 15 m² gross und teils möbliert. Aktuell steht ein Einzelbett darin, das sich zu einem Doppelbett ausziehen lässt. Bei längeren Aufenthalten (ab ca. 6 Monaten) kannst du die Möblierung gerne nach deinen Wünschen anpassen, und wir stellen bei Bedarf einzelne Möbel raus; bei kürzeren Aufenthalten bleibt das Zimmer eher wie es ist (wir können zum Beispiel das Bett austauschen, der Rest bleibt aber). Die fest verbauten Schränke auf beiden Seiten des Zimmers würden wir gerne stehen lassen, da sie an den Wänden befestigt sind. Der Preis richtet sich nach der Nutzung und beinhaltet jeweils sämtliche Nebenkosten (WLAN, Strom, Heizung usw.): * Etwa die Hälfte der Zeit (~2 Wochen im Monat), unser Wunsch: ca. CHF 1'800 im MonatDas Angebot eignet sich ideal für Menschen, die nur Teilzeit in Zürich sind, zum Beispiel ein paar Mal pro Woche oder nur zwei Wochen im Monat, und einen ruhigen, freundlichen Platz suchen. Wenn du hier bist, hast du dein eigenes Bad mit Dusche/WC direkt neben deinem Zimmer zur privaten Nutzung, also quasi eine eigene Ecke der Wohnung. Dein Zimmer und das Bad liegen nahe beim Eingang, etwas abseits vom Rest der Wohnung, sodass du deinen eigenen Bereich hast und dort ungestört bist. Dazu gehört ein eigener Balkon von 5 m² mit Morgensonne, den du ganz privat nutzen kannst, ideal zum Beispiel für Morgen-Yoga. Du kannst deine Matte dort lassen und den Balkon nach deinen Wünschen einrichten. Der Zugang erfolgt direkt von deinem Zimmer sowie vom Wohnzimmer aus, wobei wir den Zugang vom Wohnzimmer normalerweise geschlossen halten. Wir selbst nutzen vor allem den Hauptbalkon mit Abendsonne. Unsere Putzfrau kommt zweimal im Monat für drei Stunden und putzt je nach Nutzung/Aufwand auch dein Zimmer mit. Zu uns: Wir sind ruhige, arbeitende Menschen. Eher introvertiert, aber freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir mögen Wandern, schöne Velotouren, Reisen und Tech. Robert: IT Engineer (40-und etwas) Lisa: Startup-Gründerin (Späte 30er) Wir arbeiten beide remote von zu Hause. Robert hat ein eigenes Büro, und ich habe meinen Arbeitsplatz je nach Nutzung des Gästezimmers entweder in der Wohnküche oder im Gästezimmer. Ausserdem haben wir drei grosse Maine Coons, die frei in der Wohnung herumstreifen, du solltest also tierlieb sein. Sie haben normalerweise gerne Zugang zur ganzen Wohnung, aber wenn dir das nicht behagt, können wir deinen Zimmerzugang für sie einschränken. Die maximale Nutzung, die wir uns wünschen, sind voraussichtlich rund 2,5 Wochen im Monat, aber das können wir mit der richtigen Person individuell ausmachen. Wir suchen zunächst für 6 bis 12 Monate, mit Option auf Verlängerung. Ein kürzerer Aufenthalt ist aber auch möglich, zum Beispiel wenn du gerade eine längerfristige Wohnung suchst und etwas zum Überbrücken brauchst. In dem Fall kannst du das Zimmer auch Vollzeit nutzen (ca. CHF 1'800 im Monat), für bis zu etwa zwei Monate. Wir sind ein Nichtraucher-Haushalt und wünschen uns das auch von dir. Wie wir uns dich vorstellen: Du bist nett, ruhig und ordentlich, vielleicht eher introvertiert, und suchst keine WG-Familie. Du bist froh um deine Ruhe, hast aber nichts dagegen, mal zu plaudern oder zusammen zu kochen. Am Ende möchtest du einfach ein Zimmer, in dem du bei Bedarf deine Ruhe hast, dich wohl und angekommen fühlst und niemand dir Stress macht. Wir richten uns vor allem an Wochenaufenthalter:innen: Falls du dich hier anmelden möchtest, solltest du etwa die Hälfte der Zeit hier sein.
